How many Flavours points do I save when I stay at a participating hotel?

The amount of points you receive is based on the reservation value of your stay. For 4 main currencies the number of points has already been set. For all other currencies, the exchange rate equivalent to the euro is used.

What do you mean with the reservation value of a stay?

With the reservation value of your stay we mean the original selling price of your reservation. All taxes applied to the room rate which are not included in the original selling price, all food and beverage, catering or banquet functions billed to the room account or any other incidentals do not qualify for Flavours points. Kindly note that Flavours points are only offered on eligible rates.

I've lost my Flavours membership card. How do I replace it?

If you are a Flavours Advanced member, please obtain a new Advanced Membership card during your next visit at one of the participating hotels. Should you have lost your Flavours Silver or Gold Membership card, please request your new Silver or Gold card via the ‘help’ function. Please be aware you need to be logged in to request a new Silver or Gold card.

What are eligible rates & charges?

You save Flavours points on all reservations at eligible rates made through www.goldentulip.com and all other Golden Tulip websites, the toll free reservation numbers and directly booked with the hotels.

Non eligible rates are:

  • Airline & travel agency employee rates
  • Coupons & Vouchers
  • All prepaid rates (including tour operator and internet rates)
  • Group rates
  • Internet rates not booked on Golden Tulip official websites
  • Package & specially negotiated long stay rates.

What are ineligible rates?

Flavours points are awarded on all rates and through all channels of distribution with the exception of traditional wholesale rates booked through the Internet or through tour operators, Airline employee and/or Travel agency employee rates, coupons & vouchers, prepaid rates, group rates, bookings on 3rd party Internet sites, package rates and long stay rates unless otherwise advertised.

All taxes applied to the room rate which are not included in the original selling price, all food and beverage, catering or banquet functions billed to the room account or any other incidentals do not qualify for Flavours points.

After I complete a stay how long will it take before my Flavours points are credited to my account?

Your account will be credited 7 days following your departure from a participating hotel, where you stayed at eligible rates.

How many rooms can I earn credit for at once?

A Flavours member is eligible to receive Flavours points for his/her guest room and up to two additional rooms, as long as these rooms are occupied by immediate family members as in relatives three times removed. All rooms must be reserved and registered in the Flavours member's name and the Flavours member must make arrangements for payment of all rooms on a consolidated bill, which should be requested at the time of checking in. To ensure points are automatically booked to the members account the Flavours member should present his/her membership card at hotel check out.

I just joined Flavours and I had a recent stay prior to my enrolment. Can I get credit for that stay?

Flavours points can not be saved for a stay made prior to the date the member's application was processed and no retroactive credit can be given.

Can I save Frequent Flyer miles and Flavours points for the same stay?

As a registered Frequent Flyer and Flavours member, you may choose to receive either Frequent Flyer miles or Flavours points when staying in a participating property at eligible rates.

How long are my Flavours points valid for?
Depending on your membership level, your accumulated Flavours points expire should you not stay at any of the participating hotels within a certain period of time.


Advanced Membership

Your balance of points will become zero (0) if you have not stayed at one of the participating properties at eligible rates for a consecutive period of 12 months. The starting period of the 12 months is every time the departure date of your last stay at eligible rates in participating hotels. Example: You have checked out on the 1st of July 2006 and these points have been credited onto your account. If you have not stayed at any of the participating hotels by the 1st of July 2007 at eligible rates, your balance of points will become zero (0).


Silver Membership

Your balance of points will become zero (0) if you have not stayed at one of the participating properties at eligible rates for a consecutive period of 18 months. The starting period of the 12 months is every time the departure date of your last stay at eligible rates in participating hotels. Example: You have checked out on the 1st of July 2006 and these points have been credited onto your account. If you have not stayed at any of the participating hotels by the 1st of January 2008 at eligible rates, your balance of points will become zero (0).


Gold Membership

Your balance of points will become zero (0) if you have not stayed at one of the participating properties at eligible rates for a consecutive period of 24 months. The starting period of the 12 months is every time the departure date of your last stay at eligible rates in participating hotels. Example: You have checked out on the 1st of July 2006 and these points have been credited onto your account. If you have not stayed at any of the participating hotels by the 1st of July 2008 at eligible rates, your balance of points will become zero (0).

Can I buy more points?

It is not possible to buy extra Flavours points. Flavours points can only be saved by staying at Golden Tulip Hotels, Inns & Resorts.

What is the difference between a "stay" and a "room night"?

A "stay" is defined as one or more consecutive nights at any of our participating hotels or resorts. A "room night" is defined as one paid night at any participating hotel or resort, including eligible room revenue.

How do I get credit for a missing stay?

Forgotten to show your Flavours membership card upon check-out? Have you noticed any missing stays on your account? Do not worry; you are able to claim your missing points up to 6 months after the departure date. Simply login, go to your account and fill in the required information of your missing stay.

How much does it cost to become a Flavours member?

Flavours Membership is completely free of charge.

How do I activate my Flavours account?

When you have registered as a member online, you can activate your account by visiting one of the participating hotels to pick up your membership card. Should you have registered in a hotel, then we ask you to activate your membership online by filling in the necessary details of your profile.

Can I use my Flavours points for awards other than hotel stays?

In addition to redeeming your Flavours points for hotel stays, you are also able to choose for great gifts or order hotel vouchers. Furthermore you can also exchange your points to Frequent Flyer miles or donate your points to charity.

Can I redeem my points directly with a hotel?

It is not possible to redeem your Flavours points directly with a participating hotel. Only via the website www.flavours-benefits.com are you able to redeem your points for hotel stays, hotel vouchers, great gifts and to donate to charity. You can also exchange your Flavours points to airmiles of your favourite Frequent Flyer programme.

What is required to become a Flavours Silver member?

Becoming a Flavours Silver member requires 10 overnight stays at participating hotels in a period of 12 months at eligible rates.

What is required to become a Flavours Gold member?

Becoming a Flavours Gold member requires 30 overnight stays at participating hotels in a period of 12 months at eligible rates.

Can I be downgraded?

Downgrading is only possible from Gold to Silver Membership. Once the Silver Membership is reached no downgrading is possible, only an upgrade to Gold.

Every 24 months your activities will be reviewed as a Flavours Gold member. Should you not have stayed 30 nights or more at participating hotels during the past 12 months, you will become a Silver member, receive a new Silver Flavours card and enjoy the benefits of the Silver Membership.

When a Flavours member has not stayed at any of the participating properties for a consecutive period of 36 months, his/her account will be terminated. A new membership is possible by following the registration procedure again.

When does the level check take place to determine if I am eligible for a level upgrade?  

Your membership level will be reviewed every 6 months. The first level check will be 6 months from the date of activation of your membership. Your membership is fully activated when you have picked up your card at the hotel and have completed all your details online.

How can I change my Username and Password?

You may change you Username and Password online any time. After signing in into your Flavours account, go to ‘Your profile’ where you will be able to modify your login codes.
